1 years ago By Sports Desk

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) universe in India is buzzing with anticipation as one of the biggest wrestling events of the year is set to grace the Indian shores in September 2023. The WWE Superstar Spectacle promises a grand showcase of the finest athletes and thrilling wrestling matchups, and to add more excitement to the affair, ticket bookings are about to go live!

WWE enthusiasts in India have been counting down the days to this highly anticipated event, and now, the wait to secure tickets is almost over. On Friday, August 4, 2023, fans can lay their hands on these coveted tickets, which will be available from 12:00 PM IST on the popular event ticketing platform, www.bookmyshow.com. Not just that, there’s an exclusive treat for those who’re always on the lookout for early bird privileges. Those who register in advance on the BookMyShow app or website can get ahead in the queue and participate in the early presale, which starts a day earlier, on Thursday, August 3 at 12:00 PM IST.

India’s love affair with WWE is not new. For years, fans have tuned into Sony Sports Network to catch the thrills and spills from WWE’s major shows, including Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and the Premium Live Events (PLE) like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble. In fact, the WWE SummerSlam 2023 will be broadcast live at an early 5:30 AM IST on Sunday, August 6, across Sony Sports Ten 1 in English, Sony Sports Ten 3 in Hindi, and Sony Sports Ten 4 catering to the Tamil and Telugu audience.

WWE’s return to India with the Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad is significant, given that it’s been six long years since they last enthralled the Indian audience with a live event. This occasion will be even more special with the event unfolding at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana. Sources suggest that the stadium offers seating for 5,000 attendees, but some claim its capacity can stretch to accommodate a staggering 30,000 fans. Either way, it promises to be the hotspot for an adrenaline-fueled evening.

The talent roster slated to entertain the fans is equally impressive, ensuring the event is a must-watch. Topping the list is the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, closely followed by the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. Fans can also look forward to exhilarating performances from the current WWE Tag Team Champions, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, and the Intercontinental Champion known as “The Ring General”, GUNTHER. Other renowned WWE personalities like Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle, and Ludwig Kaiser will also be gracing the ring.

For those still contemplating whether to get tickets, here’s a tip: register now on BookMyShow for an edge in the presale that started on August 3 at 12:00 PM. Remember, only registered users have the privilege of purchasing during this presale window. General sales kick off on August 4 at 12:00 PM, so gear up and ensure you don’t miss out on witnessing this wrestling extravaganza in person!
