3 Reasons Why WWE Did Not Book Brock Lesnar For Crown Jewel 2023

1 years ago By Jhon Woug

Blockbuster bouts, surpising debuts, and epic showdowns have all come to be associated with WWE’s Crown Jewel events. But in an unexpected change of events, Brock Lesnar, one of WWE’s top performers, is conspicuously missing from the list for the forthcoming Crown Jewel event on November 4, 2023.

Since the WWE began hosting events in the region in 2018, Brock Lesnar has been a mainstay of Saudi Arabian performances. He has always been a major draw for these high-end live events because of his enormous presence and amazing in-ring skills. Why then has WWE made the decision to keep The Beast Incarnate off-screen? Here are the main three justifications for WWE’s choice to pass on booking Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2023.

  1. Crown Jewel’s Packed Match Card and Top Stars

The fact that the Crown Jewel match programme is already jam-packed and that other major WWE superstars will be there as the event’s headliners is one of the main factors keeping Brock Lesnar off the roster. Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against LA Knight is one of Crown Jewel’s headlining matchups, and fans can also look forward to seeing John Cena and Logan Paul there, as well as other big storylines.

WWE had little issue selling out the event’s tickets because of the high-profile matches and performances that had already been confirmed. In fact, there was such a huge demand for tickets that Michael Cole mentioned it on a SmackDown broadcast, urging viewers to keep checking back as more seats opened up for Crown Jewel. In other words, Brock Lesnar wasn’t even necessary because the event was already a success.

It’s probable that the creative staff thought there was no acceptable opponent or narrative for Lesnar at Crown Jewel because of the extensive planning WWE puts into its premium live events, including the fact that numerous significant storylines are already in the works. It was logical to reserve Lesnar for a later event given the small number of matchups on the schedule and the large quantity of A-list talent.

  1. Building Anticipation for Future Events

The WWE has traditionally made a huge deal out of Brock Lesnar’s visits, so the opportunity presented by his absence at Crown Jewel is one to heighten interest in his upcoming comeback. The fact that WWE decided to save Lesnar for a Saudi Arabian show in the future implies that they have big plans for his comeback, either in a high-stakes bout or a narrative that will have a large impact.

At SummerSlam, Lesnar made his final WWE debut. There, he squared up against Cody Rhodes and famously raised Rhodes’ hand in an unexpected exchange. Although Lesnar appears on the official WrestleMania 40 poster in April of next year, he isn’t currently promoted for any other events until then. Fans are anticipating and wondering whether Lesnar will make a triumphant return as a result of this break in his performances.

WWE is able to create excitement and rumours about Lesnar’s upcoming appearance and the upcoming bouts or feuds by keeping him away from Crown Jewel. This tactical move makes Lesnar’s appearance even more remarkable by bringing a sense of surprise and excitement to upcoming events.

  1. Maintaining Lesnar’s Unique Appeal

Being a part-time WWE superstar has always been one of Brock Lesnar’s distinctive selling points. Lesnar makes appearances rarely, which elevates them to a higher level of prestige and demand than that of many full-time wrestlers. Few people can match the mystique and allure he has managed to preserve due to his restricted schedule.

Lesnar makes irregular appearances, and WWE appreciates this because it prevents him from becoming too well-known and losing his charm. The Beast Incarnate may be used sparingly to make every appearance on the WWE ring feel spectacular.

WWE’s methodical approach to handling their biggest talents is demonstrated by the fact that Lesnar was kept out of Crown Jewel. They are aware that keeping Lesnar’s aura is crucial to retaining his reputation as a must-see attraction. They continue to make his comeback a big deal in the wrestling industry by delaying his appearances.

WWE made the conscious choice to leave Brock Lesnar off of the lineup for Crown Jewel 2023 in order to improve his future performances, preserve his distinctive appeal, and prevent the event from packing in too many A-listers. While The Beast Incarnate may not have been present at this year’s Crown Jewel, fans can still look forward to his future comeback, which is guaranteed to deliver unforgettable moments and exciting fights. WWE’s choice to hold off on using Lesnar for a current event demonstrates their meticulous preparation and smart approach to developing gripping storylines and preserving the enthusiasm of their top talents.
